If you need to eat cheap

I put together a pdf to share ways my husband and I ate on the cheap during our early years when we were living on a grad student stipend. Some weeks we were literally looking in the couch cushions for change to afford bread and milk.

We were rare among our peers and knew how to cook, but if we had been able to walk it back a little bit, we would have saved even more money. Baking bread, making beans and lentils from dried, other ideas for rice, sourcing cheap (or free!) veg and freezing it for later- would have made those years a little easier.

Straight up, this won't work for everyone, but you might find some ideas, things to try, or resources that you didn't have before.

Please use, share, or ignore - whatever you think best:) Take care of each other.
